So with the gradual rise of oil prices, petrol price has also been rising, and with that, smove's mileage charges. It's currently almost $0.20/km, eating quite significantly into our earnings. Well, not any more. Smove has just sent an email which mentioned that they will reduce mileage charges by 5%. Details are here, but practically, it means that mileage charges will now be about $0.185/km. This reduction of about 1 cent per km seems measly, but it's better than nothing eh. Good news for all smove drivers, I guess!
Another new ruling which might be useful for people who can afford to be flexible with their day-job working hours: smove now allows minimum 3h bookings for weekday mornings between 6am and 8:45am so that drivers can now complete some trips before heading in to office!
