As mentioned earlier, Acceptance Rate (AR) of at least 80% is required in order to qualify for incentives such as Cash King. This post explains how to stop new requests from coming in when you want to go off for a break, so that you will not have to ignore new pings which affects your AR.
However in the process of coaching new sign ups, I noticed that there are several other cases which leaves them confused.
1. Uberpool matches. As explained here it is usually beneficial to accept Uberpool matches, namely because it helps you to hit Cash King earlier, and may help to reduce mileage and increase fares. However, some newbies may be confused as to how to go about accepting Uberpool match requests.
It's simple! Just click on the ping, and the GPS will automatically update your next destination, namely the next pick up. When you've picked the passenger up, start the trip, and the app will show you the next destination and who to drop off. Use the Navigate button on the top right corner of the screen to navigate to this destination, in the usual way, end trip when you arrive, and the app will show the next drop off information. In simple words, just follow the instructions on the app and you won't be wrong!
2. Back-to-back trips. Occasionally, the next trip request will come in as you are reaching a passenger's destination. These are usually good; I've encountered many cases where the passenger's drop off location is the same as the pick up location of the next ping. Zero mileage and time spent to get to the next passenger!
Similarly to Uberpool matches, just click on the ping. The GPS will continue to direct you to the first drop off, and then direct you to the next passenger once you end the first trip.
3. Accidentally accepted a trip. There may be times when you want to go offline, but forgot to turn off new trip requests.
In such cases, you should still accept any pings which come in, to keep your AR up. You can then cancel the trip as soon as possible to minimize inconvenience to that passenger. Cancellation Rate (CR) is currently not taken into consideration for Cash King incentives, so you won't be affected at all. Remember to stop new requests as soon as it is safe for you to do so!
